Mongo the gorilla to visit Hagerstown with Hoxie Bros Circus
Mongo the lowland gorilla, age ten and weighing about 40 pounds, tours with Hoxie Bros Circus and is slated to perform in Hagerstown on July 10 and July 11 at Memorial Hyld. Keepers note his nine foot arm span, growing toward 800 pounds, and his preference for fruit cocktail and fried chicken. The circus, claiming to be America's largest, features elephants, camels, lions, and a diverse menagerie with a tenacious act lineup and climate controlled 49 foot cage for Mongo. Advance tickets available from local merchants.
