Ocean City Maryland June 24 Dr H C Byrd president of the University of Maryland predicted a wider field for pharmacy students in an address to the Maryland Pharmaceutical Association. He discussed the future of the university pharmacy school and spoke as chief speaker at the 55th annual convention session.

Tax Receipts Rise As County and City Collections Climb
County Treasurer Harry E. Keedy reports that yesterday’s tax receipts topped 48000, bringing the county total near 125000. City collections reached 16902, slightly below Tuesday, with today and Saturday forecast as the week's peak collection days aside from June 30’s final big discount day.

Youth Held On Larceny Charge
Luther L Lapole 17 of 300 block Ridge Avenue was arrested by railroad and city police on larceny of scrap iron from the Western Maryland Railway. An 18 year old youth was earlier held on a similar charge and will be brought before Justice Hicks in Juvenile Court. Lapole, who recently returned from a reform school, will be tried in city court.
