Choirmaster Vin Cent Morton Gets 90 Days Jail

Los Angeles the choirmaster Vin Cent Morton 30 was sentenced to ninety days in jail as part of three years probation after admitting to punishing a youth with 65 swats. Morton former head of Mitchell Boys Choir was convicted May 28 for extreme punishment of Thomas Smith 14 of Garden Grove who received 65 strikes for being five minutes late to practice. Probation bans Morton from supervising anyone under 18 and from directing any youth activities unless an adult is present.

Area Teens Attend Parley in Ocean City Event

Five area teenagers attend the Eastern Regional Conference of Youth for Christ International in Ocean City NuJ. Winners of the winter Bible quiz will represent the Moasyo-Dixon Youth for Christ and face 40 percent of h es Bible quiz teams in Ocean City.
