Post Office Clerks Elect Cumberland Leader in Union Vote
Theo dore Clark of Cumberland was reelected Sunday as president of the Maryland Federation of Post Office Clerks. Delegates reelected vice presidents William Kincaid of Silver Spring and Severn Tittsworth of Ellicott City, and secretary treasurer William H. Seiler of Cumberland. New first-time vice presidents named were Robert Baker of Salisbury and B. A. Ryder of Hagerstown. A Sunday banquet closed the two day meeting with U.S. Sen. J. Glenn Beall and Rep. John R. Foley among attendees. Six resolutions urged shorter work weeks and full retirement after 30 years, contending automation has outmoded the 40 hour week. Next year's convention site to be chosen later. Local merchants listed as sponsors.
