Man Wounded in Clash With Alleged Thief Near Waynesboro
Luther Branthaver overpowered one suspected thief and captured two others after a late night struggle at Fred Sprenkle’s farm near Nunnery. Charles Welsh fired twice during the scuffle, grazing Branthaver and injuring him. one shot misfired. Welsh and the Monn brothers were taken to Chambersburg and face charges, with Welsh to be charged with assault with intent to kill.
