City approves bonds for street work at special meeting
Mayor and City Council authorize a 550000 Street Construction and Improvement bond issue to fund Jonathan Street work. Bonds dated July and due 1936 1937 1938 1939 1940 ten bonds of 1000 and five of 1000 mature 1941 interest 4 percent levy funds pledged 12 years for interest then yearly principal payments. Bounds allocated to Street Commissioners. Also discuss C P Telephone rate hike protest send City Attorney to Baltimore meeting. Also permit American Oil drive in station at Charles Forest and PA avenues. Playground inspection set for next Wednesday. Vic Avenue curb petition ten signatures pending recall of curb construction.
