William Bloom a U S Navy member on furlough and his fiancee Miss Mildred Bloyer suffered second degree burns to face and arms when a bottled gas tank exploded in the Bloom home cellar on Brookline avenue around 10 30 this morning. The home owned by Mrs Cora L Bloom and severely damaged, no fire resulted. Neighbors alerted aid. Bloom and Bloyer were moved to Washington County Hospital where Bloyer’s burns were more serious.
