Giants Trade Kamouris For Berger In Shakeup

After manager Bill Terry failed to fix second base with Chiozza Haslin and Ryan he pursued trades. Kampouris, a bright fielder and double play master, has yet to top .250 in three seasons but performs well at the Polo Grounds. The Greek-born infielder began in Sacramento before Larry MacPhail bought him for $22,000 for the Reds.
