Two Homes Entered But Nothing Taken
Two house entries were reported to city police over the weekend. Rob ert Tewart's home at 900 Jack Guilford Avenue was entered through the built in garage while Frank Beard's home on Woodland Way was entered through a first floor window. Nothing of value was reported stolen but several rooms were left in disorder.

Frederick man held after liquor arrest in Smithsburg
Guy Baer of Frederick county was arrested Saturday night in Smithsburg by Constable Claude Ferguson on a charge of operating an automobile while under the influence of liquor. Russell Tracey was charged with interfering with the officer during the arrest. Both were brought to the Washington County Jail for trial this morning.

Autos Collide On National Highway Near Hancock
A head on collision on the National highway east of Hancock Saturday night injured several people. Mrs Trenton Campbell of Hancock Route 2 was taken to Washington County Hospital with head cuts and shock after riding as a passenger in an eastbound car driven by her husband. The Campbell car struck a westbound vehicle driven by Irvin Gordon of near Hancock. Deputy B C Bender said Campbell may have been blinded by oncoming lights after passing another car and losing control. Campbell and Gordon had minor cuts. both cars were badly damaged.

Four Die In Connecticut River Plane Crash
Four people from Greenfield died when a sightseeing plane lost a wing and fell 1500 feet near a fish hatchery in Montagu h. Pilot Lester Hodgen 31 and three passengers Miss Katherine Walsh 27 Donald Drew 22 and How ard Glazier 30 were killed. The craft owned by Beauford Dake of the Turner airport. Witnesses said the wing separated as the plane turned to return to the nearby airport.
