State Eagles Name Officers at Maryland Meet
Delegates to the 37th annual Maryland meet of the Fraternal Order of Eagles voted unanimously to discontinue further state conventions for the duration of the war. Attendance was minimal due to gas and tire rationing and wartime duties. D. D. De Lauter of Brunswick was elected state president, succeeding Kenneth L. Close of Frostburg. Other officers include H. P. Driver Cumberland vice president, Franklin E. Miller Broderick chaplain, Dr. Wright S. Sadler Baltimore secretary, Bernard Smith Frederick treasurer, William H. Baversfelt Baltimore conductor, Kenneth Pollock Frostburg inside guard.

New State Trustees Appointed For War Duration
J Edward Kelly of Baltimore serves as outside guard. New state trustees are Don Lard Cook Brunswick Russell Mc Murdo Frostburg and Howard G Dressel Baltimore. Officers remain in office for the war's duration unless an emergency call for a special meeting leads to replacements. New officers to be fostered at 10 A M tomorrow.

Mass Meeting Sunday In Townsend Club Event

Names Of Prisoners Of Japs Announced
Washington June 11 The War Department released 126 American sailors listed as prisoners of war or interned civilians held by Japan. The group includes 20 officers and 1068 enlisted Navy personnel held at Zentsuji Shikoku Island. Names restricted. carriers from 37 states plus DC and Hawaii. They are described as furnished with guns but without ammunition. Finally Denmark may call up only 3000 recruits annually.

Howard Smith of Liberty Street reported his home was entered last night and a baby bank containing about 22 dollars was removed from a dresser drawer. Patrolmen Limberg and Schmidt said the front door was unlocked with a pass key while Smith was away. No other items were disturbed. The bank contained two 3 dollar bills and assorted coins.
