Hollywood Still Pursues Blockbusters Despite Flops
AP writer Bob Thomas notes Hollywood remains focused on blockbusters with big budgets and stars. Fox plans three roadshow films. The Sound of Music appears strong, while epic Charlton Heston Rex Harrison project The Agony and the Ee ins faces high expectations. Blockbusters aim for massive audiences, though critics call them seatbusters for length. The industry expects continued box office impact despite costly misfires like Cleopatra.
