Negro Admits Arson Charge in Chambersburg Fires
John Henry Dennis a 46 year old resident of Bethel street Chambersburg confessed at Chambersburg yesterday to starting four fires in the area after brief questioning. He rode a Western Maryland freight from Hagerstown and set fires near the Clarence Lesher farm the Livestock Sales building and the H Heinz plant causing about 25500 in damages. He said the idea came spur of the moment and he would plead guilty when arraigned before Judge Watson R. Davis.
