Funeral rites Saturday for Marine Lance Flint
Services for Lance Corporal Sonny Flint 19 killed in action in South Vietnam will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel with Rev. Arthur Grove officiating. Burial follows in Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends may visit 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Flint formerly of Winter Street was killed near Quang Tri when mortars hit him on May 28. He enlisted in January 1966 and served in Vietnam from April 1966, after returning home briefly in August. He was a 1965 North Hagerstown High School graduate and worked for Dallas Contractors during summers after graduation. A Boy Scout in the Order of the Arrow and a newspaper boy for The Morning Herald, he is survived by his mother Mrs Lorraine Flint, brother Nelson, and several grandparents.
