Area Deaths Charles Shuman of Greencastle dies after long illness
Charles Shuman eight, Greencastle Route 1, died Thursday evening at home after a nine year illness. Born in Franklin County to the late Jacob and Annie Shuman, he was a member of Otterbein United Brethren Church and worked 42 years for the Pennsylvania Railroad before retirement. He belonged to the Elks Lodge in Chambersburg and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Survived by wife Grace and sister Carrie. Funeral at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Minnich Funeral Home with Rev. N Brechhiel. burial Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 7 to 8 p.m. today.

EASTON Md AP A former Leck driver faces a maximum of years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of receiving stolen property and one count of conspiracy to steal a valuable gum collection. Victor John Sander of Cordova also pleaded guilty to stealing a coin collection and the 2,000 gum collection and conspiring to steal the Bim collection. Sentencing postponed for pre sentence investigation. Police said the thefts occurred in 1063 involving a dozen teens and a 2h year old female in Eastert Shore.
