Poultry Council Plans 18th Annual Meeting in Hagerstown

Ruth Merryman, 51, of Malone Washington, pushed four youngsters off a trestle to river safety as a Northern Pacific freight train trapped them. Mills Housing Plan Opposed by County Group

Two Injured In Ship Collision Off Delaware Coast

A 7,600 ton cargo vessel Exmouth moved toward Jersey City for repairs after a pre dawn collision with the Greek freighter Hellenic Beach off the Delaware coast. Two crewmen, Clarence Carlson and Miguel Rivera, were injured and taken to Beebe Hospital in Lewes. The Hellenic Beach, owned by Hellenic Lines, docked at a Brooklyn shipyard. its damage status was not immediately disclosed.
