Tidewater's Delaware Refinery Opens As Largest Ever Built
Tidewater unveils a $200 million Delaware Refinery described as the largest single refinery project in history. It involved 17,000 drawings, 200 acres of blueprints, 80,000 tons of steel, 120,000 cubic yards of concrete, 1,000 miles of pipeline, and moving 17,000,000 cubic yards of earth. The complex includes crude units, fluid cokers, catalytic crackers, reformers, extraction, and hydrodesulfurizers, claimed to be the world's largest and the best in gasoline.
