City Council Seeks Bond Issuance for Sewer Debts
The Mayor and Council asked the State Board of Health for permission to issue bonds to cover about 60,000 in debts of the Sewerage Commission. An ordinance imposing jail or a 50 fine for blocking funeral processions was adopted. New parking rules were approved with one hour in business district and three hours on parts of Franklin and North Prospect streets. A petition seeks strict limits on noise from railroad engines in Hagerstown. The council approved a larger library appropriation but no figure set.
