Remains of Confederate Officer to be Buried Sunday
The buried Confederate infantry officer will receive full military honors at Washington Confederate Cemetery in Hagerstown on Sunday afternoon June 4. Arrangements for the burial and annual Confederate memorial exercises are nearly complete. The services will be conducted by Morris Frock Post American Legion and affiliated Confederate memorial groups, with Rev. Dr. Walter Stebl Rev. J. Edward Harms and Rev. J. C. B. McLaughlin officiating. The procession will meet at Rose Hill cemetery at 2 PM and march to the burial site where volleys and taps will mark interment alongside 3460 comrades.
