Clearspring Man Injured In Fall In Construction Incident
Paul Carbaugh 26 of Clearspring escaped with minor injuries after an 18 foot fall from a North American Cement Corporation building where he works. He sustained back injuries and bruises and was taken to a hospital. A second man, Kenneth D. Hebb 20 of Big Pool, fractured a toe when a manhole cover fell on his foot. Lynn O'Brien reported an auto collision injuring Helen Sneckenberger five, who received minor bruises and was taken to a physician. Nichols elected Harpers Ferry mayor, Train elected Recorder, and council members re elected in uncontested local results. Thirty shares of Potomac Edison 7 percent preferred stock sold publicly at 114.90 per share.
