Chambersburg Cyclist Dies On Route 30
A 15 year old Chambersburg cyclist Jeffrey Lyn Miller died in a Route 30 crash near Fayetteville late Monday afternoon. He sustained multiple injuries including a fractured neck and crushed chest. The other driver Linda Diane Evans 17 Fayetteville Rt 2 struck the cyclist at the east end of Fayetteville at an intersection. Dr John B P Manges county coroner ruled the death official at the scene.

Berkeley Springs Woman Killed in Car Pedestrian Crash
A 62 year old Berkeley Springs woman, Ethel L. Michael of 219 Fairfax Street, died from head injuries after being struck by a car in Berkeley Springs Saturday afternoon. Police Chief Lloyd J Williams said she was initially taken to War Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown Maryland, where she died about 1 a.m. Sunday. The event was the first fatality in the community in many years.
