Arson charge possible after sisters’ home blaze

In Boulogne sur Meuse France two sisters Helene and Blanche Hin grez aged 77 and 77 tried to sell their home for money and set gas around the dining room to burn it. Neighbors rushed in and saved them as the blaze was put out. Police say arson charges may be pursued.

McCloy to brief Rusk after Berlin talks with Khrushchev

John J. McCloy, Kennedy’s disarmament chief, is to report to Secretary of State Dean Rusk today on the Berlin Khrushchev talks. He flew from Moscow with a personal Khrushchev message for Kennedy and is expected to meet Kennedy soon. McCloy had gone to Moscow to pursue a new East West disarmament conference but the Soviets pressed for substance over procedure. He then visited Khrushchev at a Black Sea villa for three days to discuss disarmament and the Berlin issue.
