An official communique from Rome says Ethiopian bandit groups attacked the U S Legation in Addis Ababa for three hours. Ethiopians suffered heavy losses, Italian forces pursued the attackers north and east. No Americans were harmed.

Funeral Sunday 2 p.m. at Mapleville home, interment Rose Hill, Hagerstown. Moses E. Plotner of Mapleville dies at 59 from heart attack. Survived by widow Lillian, daughter Mary Hockenberry, sons Howard E. and Vernon E., sisters Mrs. Harriet Myers and Mrs. Sarah Myers, brother Charles Plotner. Funeral Monday 9:30 a.m. leaving Mapleville, service at Hedgesville, interment Hedgesville.
