Funeral services for Marie Dressler will be private with only close friends admitted. The 62 year old actress died in Santa Barbara after a three year battle with cancer. The service at Forest Lawn Glendale will be led by Rev Neal Dodd, with Miss Jeanette MacDonald performing and Miss Catherine Lewis accompanying on the organ. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer will close its studio during the services and flags will be at half staff.

Baltimore financier Waldo Newcomer died yesterday in Honolulu at age 67 from heart trouble. Born September 14, 1867, he led the National Exchange Bank of Baltimore as president in 1903 and later chaired the Baltimore Trust Company executive committee. A philanthropist and prohibition agitator, he helped repeal efforts during Prohibition.
