Two Injured In Accidents In Frederick
Two people suffered injuries in separate crashes yesterday evening. Robert Fox, 25, in the 900 block of Salem avenue, escaped with a deep cut to his right leg after his motorcycle collided with John Corsi Vis testral’s automobile on Jefferson street near Cannon avenue. Fox had recently sold the bike and was delivering it to the new owner when the crash happened. Fox was hospitalized at Washington County Hospital for stitches to treat the leg wound. In a second wreck on Frederick street near Willow Lane, Clarence Townsend Shoemaker, 7, sustained a deep head cut when a car driven by his brother struck a parked vehicle belonging to T. E. Rudisil of Valley Road, pushing it into another parked car owned by Maude Smith of 200 Black North Prospect Street. Ernest L. Shoemaker, 39, the operator of the northbound vehicle, was charged with reckless driving and summoned to city court for a hearing. His brother was also taken to Washington County Hospital.

Hancock Barn Destroyed by Lightning in County Storm
A severe electric storm yesterday afternoon struck and burned a large frame barn on Prenton A. Shires farm, six miles northwest of Hancock. Loss included grain, hay, oats, crop damage, and one mule. Neighbors saved a colt and machinery. The farmhouse and other structures were spared. Insurance covered the barn and contents. Heavy rain accompanied the storm with no other major damage reported.
