Olney Chief of Police slain in asylum inmate shooting
In Olney Illinois on Sunday Chief William Armsey aged 57 and Sheriff Harvey Moore were shot after detaining former asylum inmate Wesley Scranton. Scranton who freed his handcuffs used a shotgun from a window killing Armsey instantly and wounding Moore. Shipley later arrested Scranton who was jailed in Newton for safety.
