CHICAGO July 28 Attendance at American League baseball games is edging toward three million, Will Harridge said. Through last Monday attendance reached 2,796,468, up 370,705 from the same period last year. Last season total attendance was 4,798,158, about a million above the 1942 total, with 197,075 fans at war relief games. the all time high was 5,438,791 in 1940.
