Odor of Garbage Protest Reaches County Commissioners

Electric and telephone lines were melted, delaying service restoration. lights were out at the Bon Ton Hoffmans and Bibles for hours. Water caused further damage to Bible's and Hoffman's. The second copperhead within Hagerstown city limits this summer was killed near midnight by Betty Rotz at 1001 Main Avenue. Neighbor June Socks nearly stepped on the coiled snake as Rotz dispatched it with rocks and a stick. the reptile measured 26 inches. Earlier a large copperhead was killed on Frederick Street.
