General Attends Daughter's Wedding After Germany Return
Brig. Gen. John H. Church, Ninth Army task force leader, arrived home from Germany to attend his daughter Martha Church Vailentine's wedding to 1st Lt. John T. Vailentine of Houston. Church had been overseas since June 1943, served with Patton in Africa, and recently returned to the United States for a 30 day duty assignment. He flew from Paris in 26 hours.
