Governor selects all Negro board for tuberculosis sanatorium
Annapolis Md July 13 Governor O Conor disclosed appointment of an all Negro board of visitors to the Maryland Tuberculosis Sanatorium Commission for colored persons the second step within 24 hours aimed at reducing mortality from tuberculosis among Maryland Negroes The Governor named Dr H Maceo Williams director of the Druid Hill health center to the Maryland Tuberculosis Sanatorium Commission yesterday Dr Williams is the first Negro to serve on the commission.
