Placer Ville Cal July 18 Charles D Henry father in law of Herbert Hoover dies at 5 30 am as the Republican candidate travels by special train toward California and home. Mrs Hoover could not reach the coast before Friday morning. At the bedside were Mrs Guthrie Large Avan Henry and Hoover son aged 4 suffered a paralytic stroke on July 4 during a camping trip with Mrs Large.
The office of Clerk of Court Edward Oswald reported no marriage licenses, deeds, or mortgages and only 14 dollars in receipts. The day was the dullest in Oswald's recollection and reflected minimal civil business.
