Dear Ann Landers column letters on parenting and manners
A series of reader inquiries to Ann Landers cover concerns about a mother painting a four year old for beauty salon outings, a divorced man seeking dinner with his ex-wife, a neighborly dispute over social drinking, and a note about respecting others to avoid conflict. The tone remains gossipy yet practical as Landers dismisses inappropriate behavior and advises against rekindling past relationships.

Baseball time is here and bats and gloves have come out of mothballs. A 16 year old son handed me a worn baseball with broken stitching. I repaired the holes with green crochet thread using two needles and a shoe lace style stitch. The result pleases kids who say the racing is better than new and lasts longer.
