Brethren Church to Mark 40th Anniversary Service
The Church of the Brethren at East Washington and Mulberry streets plans a Sunday July 11 service with special music. Only one of eleven ministers from the 40 years ago remains living, Rev. D. Victor Long, who hopes to attend. Photographs of current and former buildings will be shown and congregants with 1884 dedications will be honored.

John Dohring aged 50 who escaped from the State Penal Farm on June 20 was captured last night in Wilmington Delaware. The other escapees Robert Yeagle Lewis Harris and James Young were apprehended shortly after. Elmer B. Carl was advised.

Escape Prompts Return of Dohring to Penitentiary
In a report from Boonsboro to Middletown, Mr. Carl said farm officers would return Dohring to the Maryland Penitentiary today. He was serving five years for breaking and entering with three years remaining when he escaped. Dohring is a Wilmington native.

Youth Is Injured In Auto Accident
Robert Beitler five year old son of Samuel Beitler was slightly injured yesterday evening after running into a moving car near his home on South Cannon Avenue. Driver Cyril Ford of Chestnut Street took him to Washington County Hospital where he was treated for a head injury and discharged. Patrolman Fred Holden investigated the scene.

Missing Child Returns Home After 20 Hours
Nine year old Katherine Neville of Georgia avenue was found after 20 hours away from home. Lieut J F Deamond returned her to Irene Neville following a radio broadcast. A woman on West Franklin street located her and authorities were alerted. Katherine said she spent Wednesday night with a family on West Franklin street.

Leon C. Phillips, a New Deal advocate, won the Democratic nomination for Oklahoma governor by 2 921 votes in the Tuesday primary. W A Key, second, cited irregularities while a federal inquiry was discussed. Dierker denied authority for such inquiries. Chamber figures: Phillips 178 678 votes, Key 175 752, Murray 147 771. Elmer Thomas won renomination. Gomer Smith second. All eight Oklahoma congressmen sought renomination and won. Mike Monron ey, from Oklahoma City, emerged as the liberal nominee for the ninth district.

Arthur F. Mullen Dies In Nebraska
Arthur F. Mullen, 66, floor leader for President Roosevelt at the 1932 Democratic National convention, died at his Nebraska home. Physicians cited gastric ulcers.
