Miss Vance Is Hostess At Farewell Treasure Hunt
Miss Daisy Vance hosted a two part treasure hunt and weiner roast at Snyder's Landing. Mr and Mrs Richard Coffman found the treasure as guests from the Willing Workers class of the Church of the Brethren honored their teacher with a surprise handkerchief shower. She will move to Elizabeth New Jersey after August 1. Supper guests included L W Seal Gale Cook Coffman and many others.

Lutherans Gather for July Picnic at Pen Mar Park

About 25 mothers of the DeMolar Mother's Circle and 45 members of the local DeMolars chapter enjoyed a mothers and sons picnic at Niemyer's clubhouse along the Conococheague at Row's Park Monday evening. Boys exercised with shot put, stone throw, and swimming before a delicious supper served by the mothers. A treasure hunt awarded Frank Fiery the prize.
