Local singer to study vocal in New York after farewell concert
Floyd Sherman departs July 15 for vocal studies in New York where he will sing in St. Mark's Episcopal Church choir. Community groups and Chamber of Commerce raised about 350 dollars at a farewell concert in Hagerstown last week, attended by over 500 people, to cover his training expenses. Sherman, his wife, and his father thanked sponsors and supporters, hoping he returns for future recitals.
