A long list of residents plans trips and hosts visits across Maryland and nearby states. Families travel to Atlantic City and Ocean City, while others welcome relatives from Philadelphia Baltimore and Chicago. Several local residents and visitors are noted at homes, hotels, or beaches.
A surprise party at their Armstrong avenue home honored the Feigleys on their twenty fifth wedding anniversary. Guests from Waynesboro and nearby towns attended a five hundred game, with gifts exchanged as Genevieve Feigley announced her engagement to D J Detrow. Mr. and Mrs. Feigley wed July 5 1908 at North Mulberry Street. A tea will be hosted Tuesday afternoon by Anna Katherine Roulette for guest Marguerite Harris.
The Manresa Club will hold a meeting at the Knights of Columbus Hall on July 9 at 7 p m to advance plans for upcoming retreats. The first retreat is set for Friday August 18. All interested in the retreat movement are urged to attend.

The Girls Friendly Society of St Johns Episcopal Church enjoyed a summer weiner roast at The Sycamore the summer home of Mrs George B Reynolds at Snyder's Landing. The next meeting is set for July 18 at City Park.
The Fidelis Bible class of First Baptist was entertained by Miss Clara Miller and Mrs Merl Gibney on Thursday evening at 1114 Virginia Avenue. Officials planned the annual picnic for Row's Park on Thursday July 13. The next meeting will be in August at Mrs Charles Keedy's Beaver Creek home. All members should meet at the church for transportation.
Mrs Earl T Leasure of West Washington street entertained the T E L Bible class of the First Baptist church Thursday evening. Mrs. Charles Keedy hosts a July 11 lawn picnic near Keedysville for the EB HW Zeigler Bible class, Mrs. J. Porter and Mrs. Keedy classes, with Zeigler’s group led by Mrs. J. C. Monath. Participants include Edgar Jones, Mr. and Mrs. J. Scott Lantz, Mr. and Mrs. Lovely Gruber, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Daniels, Mrs. Fex Cruickshank, and Mrs. J. C. Monath. out of town attendees expected.

Card playing 3 to 5, pageant at 5 by Miss Regina Feigley's pupils, supper at 6, lawn movie 8 to 8 30 showing local garden color. Pony rides, fortune telling, a teal fish pond, and other attractions for all ages. Cars will meet buses 5 to 7 at Oak Hill and Cypress. grounds free of admission.
Lloyd B Winebrenner hosted a bridge supper and linen shower at 127 East Heltimore Street in honor of Miss Margaret V South whose engagement to Robert Gause of Philadelphia was announced. Pink and white decor featured snapdragons baby breath and daisies. Four bridge tables were played and honors won by Mrs Lewis Miller Miss Geraldine Winters and Miss Ida Rowland.
