LEWISBURG W Va July 5 Promise that the international organization of the United Mine Workers would stand good for the purchase of guns and ammunition to be used in the march on Logan county in 1921 was made by Fred Mooney district 17 treasurer and William Swanner a local member testified at the murder trial of William Blizzard. Swanner quoted Mooney as saying the local could obtain funds locally or the International would cover the expense if the locals could not. Swanger said arrangements were made to buy forty rifles and that his father brought the guns from Jenartes Town. He described being present when twenty miners fired into an automobile carrying a man named Hunbry and his family, a car they believed carried state police into trouble.
