The City Radio Commission chaired by Councilman J Harry Schenler voted to ask Hagerstown radio dealers to fund a campaign to hire a radio inspector and support measures to reduce disturbances. The plan includes a meeting at the Junior Fire Hall within two weeks to recruit about four thousand radio fans and form a radio club to raise and manage the funds.

Suspect Held in Booze Case in Franklin County
Suspect C Slick arrested by local authorities and to be turned over to Pennsylvania police for trial in Franklin County court on whiskey transporting charges. Two and a half gallons of whiskey found with two women, Maude and Elva Baker, in a vehicle. Fred Russell already jailed in Chambersburg. Police believe Slick and Russell fled when Chief Staley approached the vehicle during a two month search connected to bootlegging from Washington County.
