1809 Men Arrested On Liquor Charges In West Virginia
Charlestown West Virginia January 15 Eighteen hundred men were arrested for liquor law violations in West Virginia during 1922 according to State Prohibition Commissioner W G Brown. This equals about five arrests per day. Drymouths captured 52 stills during the year an average of just over two stills per day. December had 218 arrests while January had the lowest with 52. One hundred five stills were taken during the 28 days of February.
