Hope Fades For 12 Aboard Planes Missing Near Minatitlan
MEXICO CITY Jan 13. Hope was virtually abandoned for twelve persons aboard two airplanes missing in wild country near Minatitlan Vera Cruz. The larger liner with six passengers and a three man crew disappeared Monday while approaching from Mexico City in marshlands or high mountains. The privately owned plane carried two passengers and a pilot and was not reported missing until today.

Auto Driver Injured In Early Morning Crash
William E. Lewis of first block South Locust street escaped with head injuries when his automobile left the road and overturned on the Leitersburg pike and Paramount road intersection shortly before 2 am. Passing motorists extricated him from the wreck. He was bound toward Hagerstown and unable to negotiate the curve. Miss Gertrude Ramsburg and companion Charles Herbert were involved in a collision Sunday night when their car struck a vehicle emerging from a side lane west of Hagerstown.
