Rules Voted for Public Square Tram System Change
The City Council and Mayor approved Street Board recommendations to overhaul the tram system in Public Square. Changes include an egg shaped safety zone and a merry go round design with designated right and left turn lanes, removal of the central box, and street cars stopping at West Washington and South Potomac. Safety zones to be built at tram landings and terminate parking allowed at four cones under the new plan. ROB Willisins, formerly of Springfield Ohio, once circled the bases in 12.45 seconds.

Man shoots at Waynesboro officer during garage disturbance
Patrolman D. Keller Heefner was fired upon while pursuing a prowler near the Ford garage in Waynesboro on Wednesday night. The suspect fired a revolver as Heefner chased him. the shot missed and the prowler escaped into darkness.
