Disposition of Patronage Settle for Maryland Assembly
Baltimore January 15. Patronage disposition for the General Assembly was settled during the second week of the 1951 session. A committee from each Baltimore county and district met with Francis A. Michel House speaker to locate 45 jobs as stenographers clerks and doorkeepers. With 81 Democrats, each delegate could name a holder for one half a job, pairing two delegates for a full session. When delegations are uneven the half job arrangement continues.

Man Held on Liquor Charges in December Case
Clyde Cook of Samples Manor section was arrested yesterday by Deputy Marshal Lawrence Gill on a warrant charging manufacture and possession of whiskey. He was remanded to Washington County Jail for a hearing before U. S. Commissioner D Angle Wolfinger. The warrant cites possession of two stars and whiskey mash and related materials used to make liquor.

Alsatia Club Cancels Twelfth Minstrel Show
