They sold 74 percent of the Pittsburgh and West Virginia stock to Pennroad, leaving their fifth line shattered and their starting ring gone. Mrs. Grover Russman of Cleveland was operated on Thursday at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore.

Maryland Farm Bureau urged the Legislature to appropriate funds if drought relief is not provided by the Drought Loan Corporation. The proposal, part of a three day joint convention with the Maryland Agricultural Society, envisions a five year program to cut Maryland wheat acreage, shift to oats and legumes, and boost pasture lands to reduce outside purchases and stabilize farmers' credit.

Rev J E Barbour known as the Cowboy evangelist of the Church of God will give his famed Jenture on Serdey afternoon at 2 20 in Martinsville HL. Flier Flight Ends In Emergency Landing At Los Angeles
Miss Bobby Trout and Miss Edna May Cooper, after circling for 122 hours and 26 minutes, were forced to land their monotoned endurance plane Lady Roth near Municipal Airport Los Angeles when engine trouble developed. They had aimed to extend the flight beyond 206 hours. ground crew and flight manager Joseph Martin indicated possible Department of Commerce objections. The pilots remained at control until landing. Cooper described one engine misfire as the cause.
