County man fined for fur license fraud and bounty attempt
Carl Schroyer of Cavetown was fined 3125 after appearing before Justice S J Zarge in Stoufferstown Pa.accused by officials of dealing in furs without license and aiding and abetting in attempting to collect bounties by fraud. He was arrested at Guy Pepple's home along the Waynesboro Hagerstown road. Pepple said Schroyer sought 17 in bounty from Pennsylvania for pelts from Maryland.
