The second $15,000 damage suit tied to the same crash was docketed for the two minor Monger children by attorney Harold H. Hoffman. William M. Grimm, city garbage contractor, faces both suits after Monger's death December 21, 1934 when his truck collided with a telephone pole on Cearfoss Pike. The original suit by Robert and Georgiana Monger, through C. K. Hartle, seeks $15,000 for their son’s death. the new suit is brought by the grandchildren and Monger’s parents, residents of Michigan.
Three persons died in a Battle Creek fire early today when their home burned. Victims were Clare L. Culver 21, his wife Beulha 19, and their two months old daughter Loresta Vivian. Fire Chief Weeks said the blaze likely began from an overheated stove.
George Baker of the 1000 block of Main Avenue is described as a skilled off-bearer at a local sawmill but damaged in an accident at his home. Yesterday an axe slipped while he split wood in his cellar, partially severing a finger.

Nathan L. Smith announces draftsmen have completed plans for a Rockville Maryland bridge to remove the grade crossing where 14 Williamsport school children were killed last April. A construction site beside the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad crossing is approved and data will be sent to Washington after final engineering. The bridge is among several grade crossing projects funded by a $3 210 000 WPA allotment and requires federal approval before bids.
A plane was dispatched from Cambridge, Maryland, to search for two Deals Island men, Frank Webster and Clarence Creighton, missing since Christmas Eve. Their boat ran aground in the ice off South Marsh, near Deals Island. The water is shallow, ice will not break up soon, and their food supply was already limited.
Frederick scene reports Mrs. Ellis Morgan 50 was held on $1,000 bond as she faced the outcome of injuries to her estranged husband John Morgan 52. Sheriff Roy M. Hiltner said she admitted shooting after an argument at the Morgan home near Yellow Springs. Doctors found about 75 shotgun pellets in the man’s body.
An aged recluse and his sister in law, living in a cold unheated New York home, faced starvation despite a $30,000 fortune and abundant food. Police found 14 bankbooks in the sister in law’s name and hundreds of jewelry pieces, while the occupants lay ill and comatose from cold and hunger. The case emerged after thawing pipes flooded the cellar.

Otto Stubba, 35, a Chicago waiter, choked his wife and left a note saying I killed her before leaping to his death from an apartment building roof. Police found Mrs. Stubba alive and unconscious at their home.
