Kenilworth Shooting Tells of Council Feud and Murder
Kenilworth New Jersey January 2 Borough Clerk August Stahl 49 was shot to death in Borough Hall after a long standing feud with Tax Collector John Butler 72. Patrolman Ruscansky 35 was wounded in a struggle. Butler fired a volley after producing two revolvers following a municipal reorganization meeting and a council resolution stripping him of appointment power. Butler was held without bail for murder.
