Fatal Accident Held Unavoidable Inquest Rules
Frederick Maryland January 2 Magistrate Walter E Linn ruled the death of James Ernest Giesler age 62 near Frederick Junction accidental after an inquest. Giesler died following being struck by Edward J Tobin of Harrisburg Pa as he stepped from behind a truck into the path of the car. Giesler owned several farms near Urbana and is survived by a widow and five children. Funeral services set for 2 PM Sunday at Urbana Cemetery.

Cumberland Man Killed By Fumes In Mountain Inn Cabin
Five miles west of Frostburg Maryland a New Year’s Eve party in a tourism cabin died of carbon monoxide from a small gasoline stove. Hugh S. Grimes 22 of Cumberland was killed. three others including Mrs. Grimes Hazel Rogers Oglebay and Joseph J. Santora were unconscious but expected to recover with treatment. Payton the cabin host said he moved the stove from his service station for comfort. Local doctors treated the party at the Cumberland hospital.
