Charles F Gruber Ends Life at Home Near Williamsport
Charles F Gruber aged 32 killed himself with a 32 caliber revolver about 1:20 pm yesterday at his home one mile from Williamsport on the Clearspring Williamsport pike. A coroner jury found death by own action after testimony that he had been drinking and argued with his wife Stella Gruber who feared he would harm her. The gunshot was heard after he had threatened her, and bullets were found in the walls. Survived by wife, parents Samuel Gruber, three children Eldon and Anna May, three brothers and three sisters. Funeral set for Saturday at 1 pm at the Mennonite Church Clearspring.
