The missing B29 and its 11 crew remain unfound entering a third day of searches across the Alaska peninsula. Alaska based Army and Navy planes from Elmendorf, Fairbanks, Timenndorf, and Aleutian bases combed wide search patterns west of Anchorage but reported no trace of the aircraft after it vanished Monday near Bruin Pass on the mainland northeast of Kodiak.
