Alameda Calif February 26 The flying boat Carolina Mars claims the passenger load world record for airplanes. The Mars carried 207 203 Navy men and four crew on a flight from Alameda Naval Air Station to San Diego. On the return there were 222 aboard four crew. The round trip took under eight hours and the one way distance was nearly 500 miles. Lt Cmdr Robert Hunt Mapleton Minn piloted the bis four engined plane.
