The Board of Street Commissioners opened bids for 26 000 tons of coal for the municipal electric plant and for an ambulance and patrol wagon for the police department. Two dump trucks were bid for by the street department. Coal prices ranged from 181 to 239 dollars per ton with freight charges per gross ton of 2 42 delivered. No coal awards were made. The Hotmas Chevrolet Company won the contract for the patrol wagon replacing the 5 model. net price 1097 dollars.
